Jorge Mariscal

Jorge O. Mariscal has more than 25 years of experience in international financial markets, with over 20 years specifically dedicated to emerging markets. From 2001 to 2012, Mr. Mariscal was a Partner and Chief Investment Strategist at the The Rohatyn Group, a multibillion dollar New York based asset manager exclusively focused on the global emerging markets.

From 1992 to 2001 Jorge was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he coordinated the firm's emerging markets investment research product. He was also Chief Equity Strategist for Latin America. Earlier in his career, Jorge held senior positions at The Nomura Research Institute where he led the Latin American economic and equity research effort.

A resident of Manhattan, Jorge was born in Mexico City. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and holds a Ph.D. in development economics and international finance from New York University. He also teaches the class Emerging Financial Markets at the SIPA School of Columbia University.
