Joseph Pigott
Joseph Pigott is a Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer for Wealth Management Americas.
Joseph joined WMA in June 2013 from the Investment Bank, where he has spent the previous 15 years. In his role as WMA CRO, Joseph has responsibility for the implementation of UBS's Risk Management and Control Principles across primary risk categories and fostering an appropriate balance between risks and rewards. Joseph is a member of the WMA Operational Risk and Control Committee, the WMA ALCO, the Americas Risk and Control Committee, and the Americas CRO Executive Committee.
Prior to joining WMA, Joseph had a variety of roles as a Senior Risk Officer covering Commercial Real Estate, Mortgage Finance, ABS, Municipal Finance, and the Insurance Industry, while working in UBS's London, New York, and Stamford offices.
Before UBS
Joseph has over 20 years of experience in risk control with a variety of financial firms including Rabobank and BNP Paribas. Prior to his career in financial services, Joseph served a three-year stint as a Peace Corps volunteer in Botswana, Africa.
Education
Joseph earned his BA from the University of Michigan and obtained a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
Joseph lives in Stamford, CT with his wife and their two children.
